The 10-night stay I had at Norfolk Tower have been surprisingly agreeable and pleasant considering its proximity to busy Paddington Station and it can be a worthwhile, if not the best, alternative to staying outside of expensive Covent Garden, SoHo, Mayfair or South Kensington. This might be the "best value" hotel for the newby London tourister or the single bagpacker for one very convenient reason : the Paddington tube station readily and efficiently connects you to any tourist destination you can think of. Just a few feet away outside the hotel is a bus stop that can bring you to Notting Hill. The immediate neighborhood has several nearby fast food / restaurants / coffee stores / and even the veritable English Pub and Fish&Chips store at the corner. Paddington Station has Sainsbury Local and a lovely M&S grocery if you want to buy cheaper dinner fare at the end of your day adventures. If you have some cash to spend, the wonderful restaurants around Paddington basin is just the area for you, a quick 15 minute walk. The room I had was a tad small compared to other European hotels I’ve been to - but it’s not unbearably small. It can be quite cold at night and I’m glad the staff gave me extra comforters and pillows which I was grateful for. The walls were not noise proof and I could hear some neighbors conversing but thank goodness not to the point of vulgarity. The room Tv has several BBC channels but I was left wishing for a more extensive cable lineup. Wi-Fi signal was pretty good. Water pressure was decent but definitely could be better. Bed is clean, very comfortable, no dust, no strange smells but had scratch marks at the headboard which was a bit of a disappointment. Staff has been courteous, polite, respond immediately to requests but could be reminded to be a bit more convivial towards their guests which is always appreciated if shown.

We got a good price on booking.com for a 2 night midweek stay compared to other London hotels. The location is great, tucked down a side street so not too much traffic noise but just a few minutes walk to Paddington tube/train. The room we were in was in a separate block just a hop over from reception, all reception areas were clean and felt modern and well maintained. Our room was on a split level and was a good size, with a large bed which was very comfortable. There was a fridge, coffee/ tea making facilities and a decent bathroom and dressing area. The reception and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful but importantly not hard to find, there was always someone at reception. For us it satisfied what we needed.

The hotel was just minutes away from Paddington Station, where you can get a train or tube. Also, the bus stop was near. You can find different restaurants, cafés and pubs in the Paddington area. The hotel was nice, clean and very quiet. The staff was friendly. The room was surprisingly big. Breakfast was enough for us. There were different coffees, tea, bacon, scrambled eggs, baked beans, bangers, croissants, toasts, yogurt, cereals, juices, cheeses, cold cuts, fruit and so much more.

1. 5-minute walk to Paddington Station, where you can take a train directly to LHR (only an approx. 20-minute ride); a bus stop downstairs 2. Quite some eateries round the corner (e.g. KFC, Chicken Cottage, McDonald’s) 3. Very friendly staff, especially the male staff member at front desk at the restaurant. He has been very welcoming and helpful. 4. Breakfast included 5. Provide language storage prior to check-in and after check-out 6. Reasonable room size with a window

Accommodation is very close to Paddington station from which I travelled further onwards. Easy access and smooth check in at the hotel. Good bed for overnight sleep and stay for the 2 booked nights. Breakfast was ok but maybe some extra variation on choice of bread (adding some baguette types or buns/rolls) or mini pastries could be appreciated (only croissants to pick) Overall I can recommend the hotel for staying here for some days to wander around the city.
